Hydrocyclones for a given job are 1/100th size of a conventional Clarifier. And they function equally well or even better in efficiency.

Only problem that one may face are break down of flocs or aggregates because of the high velocities in the Hydrocyclone.

Therefore this can be smartly designed for a use prior to a flocculator and thus reduce the size of the flocculator and also the Clarifier in substantial way.
